Tahoe Century, June 2 2002

I rode in the Tahoe Century for the first time this year. The ride started out really really cold. I had a windbreaker, but a warm layer and full-fingered gloves are really nice when it's below 45 degrees.

Things finally warmed up on the climb above Emerald bay. That's also where I caught up with my friends and had a chance to pull out the camera.

This would be a great trail for a beginner cyclist to enjoy the fabulous scenery of Lake Tahoe.

Two tow trucks, one CHP, two county sheriffs, and one animal control. Are they here to help or to taunt?

Wow.
